After a long and severe illness borne with christian fortitude and uncomplaining patience, Robert Wells, of Oak Forest, in this 54th year, entered into the rest remaining for the people of God, May 22. He leaves a wife, three sisters and six brothers to mourn their loss. As he was a consistent member of church for many years, a loyal citizen, a faithful husband, and loving friends the outgoing of such a son makes parting painful in the extreme and bereavement bitter indeed. While we lament an irretrivable loss to our home, church, and community our grief is somewhat mitigated by the thought he is forever beyond the suffering and sorrow that so shattered his frame and beclouded his faculties. Services were held at the Pursley Baptist church of which he was a member, by Walter Dunlop, pastor. He was laid to rest in the Pursley cemetery, "until the daybreak."
