AlBERT B. WHITE
Albert B. White, 75, a native and former resident of Greene County, died at 5 a.m. Thursday, August 14, 1952, in the Veteran's Hospital at Johnson City, Tenn. A well-known broker, Mr. White had resided since his retirement in 1940 in Atlanta and Dalton, Ga. A son of the late A. R. and Clarinda Fordyce White, the deceased was born Feb. 2, 1876 at Rogersville. He served in the Spanish-American War with Company K, Waynesburg. Surviving are four brothers, John, George, Clyde and Harold, all of Waynesburg, and one sister, Mrs. Artie Headley of Winterset, Iowa.
WHITE - Funeral services for Albert B. White, a native of Rogersville who died Thursday, Aug. 14, 1952 in the Veteran's Hospital at Johnson City, Tenn., will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, from the Church Funeral Home, North Maiden street, Waynesburg, with the Rev. Paul P. Holden officiating. Burial, with full military rites, will follow in Rosemont Cemetery, Rogersville. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16. Albert B. White, 75 years, of Dalton, Georgia, former insurance broker in Greene County, died Thursday, August 14, 1952, in the Veterans Hospital, Johnson City, Tenn. He was a son of A. R. and Marinda Fordyce White, and was born February 2, 1877, at Rogersville. Mr. White was a member of K Company, 10th Regiment, Spanish-American War. In 1940, he retired from business and went to Georgia. He was a member of the Southern Fox Hunters Association. Surviving are four brothers, John, George, Clyde and Harold White, all of Waynesburg, and one sister, Mrs. Artie Headley, of Winterset, Iowa. Funeral services were held Monday in the Church Funeral Home in Waynesburg, conducted by the Rev. Paul P. Holden. Interment in Oakmont Cemetery. Military rites at the grave. Mr. White was born February 2, 1877, at Rogersville, and was a son of the late A. R. and Clarinda Fordyce White. Upon his retirement as an insurance broker in 1940, he left Waynesburg and thereafter resided in Atlanta and Delton, Ga. He was interested in the Fox Hunters Association throughout the south. He was a Spanish-American War veteran and a member of Company K of Waynesburg. Surviving are four brothers, John, George, Clyde and Harold White, all of Waynesburg, and one sister, Mrs. Artie Headley, of Winterset, Iowa.
