Mrs. Zora H. Whitehill
Mrs. Zora H. Whitehill, aged 67 years, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 1944, at 1:30 a.m., at her home in Wayne Township, near Brave, after a lengthy illness. Although she spent most of her life in the Brave community, Mrs. Whitehill was born at Mt. Morris on Oct. 30, 1877, and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Jane Dulaney Headley. She was the wife of A. J. Whitehill, who survives, and was a faithful member of the Kent's Methodist Church. Surviving besides her husband are three daughters and two sons, namely: Mrs. C. C. Parker, of Lawrenceville, Tioga County, Pa.; Mrs. E. O. Headley, of Spraggs; Mrs. John Stockdale, of Wana, W. Va.; Joseph H. Whitehill, with the Army somewhere in the South Pacific and Wilbur Whitehill, of Greensburg. She leaves 15 grandchildren. Three of her grandsons are in service. Also surviving are two sisters: Mrs. George Eddy, Morgantown, W. Va.; Mrs. Charles Minor, Mt. Morris, and one brother, P. L. Headley, of Waynesburg.
