Flora Lemley Whitlatch
Flora Lemley Whitlatch, 67, of 504 Sherman avenue, Waynesburg, died at 5:30 a.m. Thursday, July 23, 1964, in the Greene County Memorial Hospital, Waynesburg, after a long illness. She was born February 11, 1897, in Monogalia County near Pentress, W. Va., a daughter of Oliver and Anna Blair Lemley. The early part of her life was spent in West Virginia. For the last several years she resided in and around Waynesburg where she was a member of the First Methodist Church and the Worth While Bible Class of the church. She married June 10, 1918, to Guy A. Whitlatch, who survives, as does one daughter, Shirley, wife of Walter Moore, of Spraggs Star Route, and one grandson, Jerry Guy Moore. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Madeloyn White, of Morgantown, W. Va.; Mrs. Alma Lemley, of Morgantown, W. Va.; and Mrs. Mary Headley, of Waynesburg, and one brother, W. J. Lemley, of Core, W. Va. R. D. Two brothers and one sister are deceased. Funeral services were held Friday, July 24, 1964, with burial in Olive Cemetery, Pentress, W. Va.
