MRS. STELLA S. WILLIAMS

Mrs. Stella Spragg Williams, 87, widow of Layton B. Williams, deid at 2 a.m. Thursday, April 12, 1951, in the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Bissett, near New Freeport. Mrs. Williams had been ill the past two weeks.

Born March 14, 1864, she was a daughter of the late Uriah and Lucy Huffman Spragg, and married Layton B. Willliams, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Williams was a member of the Bethany Methodist Church at Nettle Hill.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Verna Weaver of Washington, Pa., and Mrs. Ethel Bissett of New Freeport; two sons, Dorsey Williams of Washington, Pa., and Carl Williams of Fostoria, Ohio; two brothers, J. E. Spragg of Washington, Pa., and J. B. Spragg, of Shepherd, Mich.; and one sister, Mrs. Jasper McCracken of Waynesburg.


WILLIAMS - Funeral services for Mrs. Stella Spragg Williams, widow of Layton B. WIlliams, who died Thursday morning, April 12, 1951, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at the Bethany Methodist Church at Nettle Hill with the Rev. Lew F. Johnston of Waynesburg officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends will be received at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Bissett, near New FReeport, after 10 a.m. Friday. Clark Funeral Home of Hundred, W. Va., in charge.
