Floren T. Wood, 72, of Waynesburg, a veteran of World War I, died at 8:30 p.m., Tuesday,
July 14, 1959, in the Veterans Hospital at Swannoa, N. C., where he had been a patient for
nine months.
He was born November 13, 1886 in Center Township, a son of the late Ezra Sayers Wood and Agnes Wood, and had lived practically all his life in Greene County. Mr. Wood was a veteran of World War I, having served with the Spruce Squadron in Oregon and was a member of James Farrell Post 330, American Legion, Waynesburg. He was married September 13, 1926 to Jennie Tustin. Surviving besides his wife are six sons, Floyd and Russell Wood, of Washington; William Sayers Wood, od Statesville, N. C.; Charles Wood, in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Lewis, Wash.; Clark Wood, in the U.S. Army, in Germany, and David Wood, at home and nine grandchildren.
