Jesse Wood

Jesse Wood, son of Jesse Wood, Sr., deceased, of near Holbrook, died at the sanitarium at Spencer, W. Va., Friday, May 24, aged 46 years, of tuberculosis. Mr Wood was formerly a well known school teacher in this county and was highly respected. Beside his aged mother he is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Richard Tustin, of Reese's Mill; Silas abd William Wood and Mrs. James Harris, of Holbrook, and Archibald Wood, of Rogersville, R. D. 1. The remains were brought to Waynesburg and taken to the home of his brother, Silas Wood, where the funeral was held Monday afternoon. Interment in the Fordyce cemetery at Holbrook.

Jesse Wood, formerly of near Holbrook, died Friday afternoon, May 24, at 2:30 o'clock in the State hospital at Spencer, W. Va. His death was due to tuberculosis. Mr. Wood was aged 46 years and was a son of the late Jesse Wood, who has been dead for over 20 years, and Mrs. Maria Fordyce Wood, of the Holbrook vicinity, who survives at the advanced age of 86 years. The deceased was formerly on of Center township's most successful school teachers. Besides his mother, the following brothers and sisters survive: archibald Wood, of Rogersville R.D. 1; Silas and WIlliam Wood, of Holbrook; Mrs. James Harris, of Holbrook, and Mrs. Richard Tustin, of Reese's Mill. The remains were brought to Waynesburg and upon arrival were taken to the home of Silas Wood where funeral services were held. Interment was in the Fordyce cemetery.
