John Wood Stricken ill with paralysis last Monday while in Waynesburg looking after business interests, John Wood, of Holbrook, died in the Greene County Memorial Hospital last evening, August 22, at 6:48 o'clock. The deceased was a son of William and the late Elizabeth Shriver Wood and was born in Center Township, October 15, 1878. He was 56 years, ten months and seven days old. Surviving besides his father are two brothers, Cam Wood, of Holbrook and Guy Wood, of Pasadena, Calif. One sister, Mrs. Mattie Barker, of Nyles, Calif., also survives. Funeral arrangements were not complete last night. Democrat Messenger, August 23, 1935 (Greene County, PA)
