Mrs. Mary Agnes Stewart Wood, 87, widow of Ezra F. Wood, died at 4:30 a.m. Thursday, April 27, 1960, at the home of her son Gail Wood of Brave. Mrs. Wood had been in ill health for several months due to ailments incident to her advanced years.

Born Feb. 25, 1863, near Rogersville, she was a daughter of Thomas C. and Margaret Orndoff Stewart. She lived in the Hargus Creek section until 22 years ago when she went to Altoona to live with a daughter, the late Helen Wood Morris, who died in 1943. After her daughter's death she returned to Greene County and had lived with her son, Gail at Brave for the past seven years.

She was a member of the Willow Grove Christian Church and was an active member of the W.S.C.S. at the Kent Methodist Church at Brave as long as her health permitted. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxillary of the Charles R. Rowan Post, American Legion, at Altoona.

She married Ezra F. Wood of Center Township, who died in October, 1895.

Surviving are two sons, Gail Wood of Brave and Floren Wood of near Rogersville. Two daughters, Mrs. Helen Wood Morris and Clive who died in infancy, are deceased. She also leaves 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; a half-brother, Ray Stewart of Rogersville, and a half sister, Mrs. Vada Stewart Webster of Rogersville. One brother, Lloyd Stewart is deceased.
