Pauline Eddy Wood
Pauline Eddy Wood, 73, of Waynesburg, R. D. 2, formerly of Brave, died at 2:55 a.m. Sunday, March 28, 1971, in the Washington Hospital, following a long illness. She was born March 20, 1898, at Pine Bank, a daughter of Samuel H. and Emma Wise Eddy. Most of her life was spent in the Brave area and [sic] lived in Wayneburg since 1962. She was a member of the Kent's Chapel United Methodist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the James Farrell American Legion Post, 330, Waynesburg. Her husband, Gail Wood, died October 8, 1962. Surviving are four daughters: Mrs. Paul (Eleanor) Bernhart, of Waynesburg; Mrs. Jack (Bobby) Love, of Naples, Fla.;Mrs. Joseph (Louise) Maize, of Dover, Ohio, and Mrs. Valent (Agnes) Moson, of Henckley, Ohio; two sons: Maynard C. Wood, of Pittsburgh and Robert G. (Scopy) Wood, of Waynesburg; 13 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family with a brother, Paul, deceased. Funeral services were held Tuesday with burial in Centennial Cemetery.
