Mrs. Caroline Headley Zimmerman, aged 91, widow of Henry Zimmerman died yesterday afternoon, "Monday," August 24, 1942, at her home at Blacksville, W. Va. after a brief illness.

She was born in Greene County on March 14, 1851, a daughter of Samuel and Nancy "Steele" Headley. Her entire life was spent in Greene County. Her husband preceded her in death 21 years ago. Mrs. Zimmerman took an active part in the activities of Brock Valley Chapel Church, of which she was a member.

Surviving are four sons; Vincent, of Waynesburg, RD 3; William, of Spraggs; Thomas, of Pine Grove, W. Va., and Charles, of Waynesburg; four daughters; Mrs. Emma Tennant, of Blacksville, W. Va.; Mrs. Ocie Yeager, of Spraggs; and Mrs. Blanche Rogers, of Greensboro, seven children are deceased. Forty three grandchildren, several great-grand-children, and a great-great-grandchild survive along with two brothers; Sherman Headley, of Middletown, and Frances Headley of Pine Bank, and a sister, Mrs. Belle Fox, of Mt. Morris.

Funeral services for Caroline Zimmerman, widow of Henry Zimmerman, late of Blacksville, W. Va., will be held at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 1942, from the Blacksville Methodist Church, in charge of Rev. Joseph Van Sickle. Interment will be in the Blacksville Cemetery. Friends will be received at the home of her son, William Zimmerman, near Blacksville, after 5 p.m. today. George I. Church is the funeral director in charge of arrangements.
