Henry J. Zimmerman Last rites were held yesterday for Henry J. Zimmerman, one of the best known farmers of Greene County, who died at his home in Whiteley Township Saturday, August 11, 1934 at 11:30 A.M. Short services were held at the home at 1:00 P.M. and further services were held in the Fordyce M. P. Church at 2:30. Rev. Mr. Schott was in charge. Burial was in Oakmont Cemetery. Mr. Zimmerman had spent his entire life in Whiteley Township. He was born September 1, 1850, and was a son of John and Elizabeth Fordyce Zimmerman, and at the time of his death was a member of the Fordyce Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Nancy Fuller Zimmerman, whom he married on October 16, 1873, three daughters, Mrs Milton Morris, Whiteley Township, Mrs. O.F. Cree, Cumberland Township, Mrs. Arleigh Murdock, Fordyce, and one son, Melvin Zimmerman, Whiteley Township. Democrat Messenger, August 14, 1934 (Greene County, PA)
