Lydia Stephens Zimmerman Lydia Stephens Zimmerman, aged 52 years, of Kirby, died in the Greene County Memorial Hospital last evening, Feb. 20, 1935, at 6 o'clock. She had been in failing health for the past two years, and underwent an operation Tuesday night. She was the wife of Melvin Zimmerman and was born in Whiteley Township, a daughter of Bowen and Adeline Stephens. She spent her entire life in Whiteley Township and was a member of the Fordyce Methodist Episcopal Church. She is survived by her husband and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Margaret Shultz, Oakdale, O.; F. E. Stephens, Waynesburg; Mrs. Nora Lemley, Mt. Morris; Hartford Stephens, Kirby, and Mrs. Grace Shultz, Waynesburg. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, in the home of her sister, Mrs. Grace Shultz, East Lincoln street, in charge of Rev. Elmer Schott. Interment will be in the Kirby cemetery. Democrat Messenger, February 21, 1935 (Greene County, PA)
