Olive P. Zimmerman Olive P. Zimmerman, 82, of Washington R. D. 3, formerly of Washington R. D. 6 and Van Kirk Station, where she had resided nearly 50 years, died at 2:45 a.m. Thursday, August 31, 1989, in her home, following a lengthy illness. She was born March 23, 1907, at Garards Fort in Greene County, a daughter of Jacob and Della Fordyce Patterson. Mrs. Zimmerman was a member of the Liberty United Methodist Church and had served as financial secretary of the church for more than 30 years. She attended Waynesburg College and had taught school for six years in a one-room school house, with eight grades, in Greene County. On August 21, 1930, she married Wesley T. Zimmerman at the Waynesburg United Methodist Church. He died Janaury 5, 1981. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Harold C. (Louise E.) Glaum of Washington R. D. 3; and two grandchildren, Cynthia Marie Glaum and Eric Charles Glaum. Deceased are two brothers, Wayne and Furman Patterson. Newspaper obituary, date and source unknown (Greene County, PA)
