ORPHA ZIMMERMAN
Orpha Blanche Zimmerman, 80, of Waynesburg, R. D. 3, near Kirby, died at 3:50 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 1968, at Greene County Memorial Hospital. She had not been in the best of health for several months. She was born July 31, 1887, in Wayne Township near Spraggs the daughter of the late Jobe and Sarah Ellen Weaver Moore. Her husband, H. Vincent Zimmerman, whom she married December 28, 1928, survives. The early part of her life was spent in the Spraggs area, with the past several years in the Kirby community. She was a member of the Claughton Chapel Church. Surviving in addition to her husband are two stepdaughters, Mrs. Forney (Grace) Dulaney, of Spraggs, R. D. 1, and Mrs. Gloria Orndoff, of Waynesburg R. D. 3; a stepson, Wayne, of Waynesburg, R. D. 3; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and three nieces, Mrs. Arthur Phillips, of Pine Bank, R. D. 2; Mrs Morris Knabenshue, of West Middleton, and Mrs. William Patterson, of Waynesburg, R. D. 3. One sister, Mrs. Mildred McElroy and one brother, Ira Moore, are deceased. MRS. ORPHA ZIMMERMAN Mrs. Orpha Blanche Zimmerman, 80, of Waynesburg, R. D. 3 (near Kirby) died at 3:50 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 1968, in Greene County Memorial Hospital. She had been in failing health for several months. A daughter of Jobe and Sarah Husk Moore, Mrs. Zimmerman was born July 31, 1887, in Wayne Township, near Spraggs, where she resided during her early life. SHe had made her home in the Kirby area for almost 40 years. Mr. Zimmerman was a member of the Claughton Chapel Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, H. Vincent Zimmerman, whom she married December 25, 1928; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Forney (Grace) Dulaney, of Spraggs, R. D. 1, and Mrs. Gloria Orndoff, of Waynesburg, R. D. 3; one stepson, Wayne Zimmerman, of Waynesburg, R. D. 3; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, and three nieces, Mrs. Arthur Phillips, of Pine Bank, R. D. 2, Mrs. Morris Knabenshue, of West Middletown, and Mrs. William Patterson, of Waynesburg, R. D. 3. A sister, Mrs. Mildred McElroy and a brother, Ira Moore, are deceased.
