Jesse Leroy Emerson (1877-1953) and Margaret Fordyce Emerson (1877-1918) at the time of their marriage. Margaret Fordyce Emerson was the daughter of James H. (1845-1915) and Mary D. Bennett (1857-1933) Fordyce and was born on January 20, 1877 at Pierceton, Indiana. She married Jesse Leroy Emerson on September 7, 1894 at Whiting, Indiana. They later divorced and Margaret married Amos Simpier. Margaret died at Whiting on August 12, 1918.
